After consultation and direction from Indiana University leadership regarding the ever-evolving COVID-19 pandemic and to place further measures to mitigate the spread of the virus – we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 IUPUI Summer Day Camps program. This decision was not easy as we always look forward to welcoming families to our facility each summer. However, our priority is always towards the safety and well-being of our families, patrons, staff and students. We know this is the best way to move forward based on the information we have today.
The IUPUI Summer Day Camp, for children ages 5-12, offers the Jaguar Camp for $199 weekly. Our camp program incorporates age-appropriate activities to promote growth and development through sport, fitness, and activities that encourage curiosity and inquisitiveness. The camp is located at Carroll Stadium at IUPUI and provides two football sized field activity areas, an additional softball field, as well as multiple tent covered areas for the campers. Campers will have three rotations in the morning and three in the afternoon where they will participate in: Table games under the tent, field games including sports, and arts/crafts under the tent. A daily swim lesson is included and before and after care is free. Our staff is made up primarily of IUPUI students, many being Education majors.
Families can also add an enrichment that would meet in the morning. The staff will get the kids to their enrichment and then the kids would join their base camp friends for the rest of the day at lunch. This cost is added to the $199 base camp fee. Combined, these prices range from $259 to $284 weekly (this is pre any base camp discount and please note enrichment offers are not discounted). The enrichments are diverse and unique as we partner with numerous vendors and departments on campus to offer over 20 exciting enrichment experiences.
